Itzhak Yanovitzky, PhD

Itzhak Yanovitzky, PhD is Professor of Communication and Public Health at Rutgers University. He is an expert in the areas of behavior change communication, public policymaking, translational research, and program evaluation. He is a member of the National Academies of Science, Engineering, and Medicine’s Standing Committee on Advancing Science Communication. Professor Yanovitzky’s program of research explores effective mechanisms for facilitating use of evidence in policy and practice and building the capacity of communities to apply communication strategies and tools across sectors to address a range of public health problems, including the opioid epidemic and youth suicide.

As an Officer of the TrestleLink Board, Dr. Yanovitzky offers strategic advice for growth and development. He frequently gives talks regarding science policy, intermediary organizations, and public health communication strategy design. He is routinely asked to consult on topics ranging from prevention of alcohol, drug, tobacco, and cancer to improving engagement with patients and coordination among health stakeholders.
